Profile

I am a registered Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Hillcrest, working with children, adolescents and adults on both short-term and longer-term bases. I offer a range of therapies:
– Psychotherapy for adults and adolescents.
– Play Therapy for children with regular parent feedbacks to keep parents involved in the process and to generalise helpful changes to other contexts in the child’s life.
– Parent-Infant Psychotherapy (PIP) working with Moms/Dads and babies (up until 18 months of age) to improve bonding and attachment.
– Parent Guidance.
– Couples Therapy, including Imago Relationship Therapy.
– Trauma Debriefing: This is usually a short-term therapy process (e.g., up to 6 sessions) focused specifically on working through the trauma and enhancing coping skills.

My aim is to create a safe therapeutic space and to enter into a genuine relationship with clients as this provides a healing context to explore the client’s feelings, thoughts and anxieties, as well as experiences and difficulties. Such therapeutic collaboration assists clients in attaining a sense of wellbeing and in achieving more satisfactory relationships with themselves and others. When necessary, I work closely with other professionals to ensure that my clients receive the best possible care.

My practice is based at the Nova Centre, 1 Leinster Place, Hillcrest. Easily accessible from the Upper Highway area including Kloof, Winston Park, Gillitts, Assagay, Hillcrest Park, Botha’s Hill.
