City Hospital Behavioural Health Centre is a centre of excellence based at 71-73 Ismail C. Meer Street, Durban. The centre first opened its doors on the 7th of February 2005 and has been running various therapeutic group therapy and other programs ever since.
Programs & services offered include:
– Skills for Change Program for the treatment of Mood Disorders including Depression & Anxiety)
– Skills for Change for Young Adults (Mood Disorder program aimed at adolescent & young adults)
– Beating Anger program for the treatment of anger and conflict resolution issues
– Treating Trauma program for the treatment of PTSD, acute stress reaction and other trauma related issues
– Individual debriefings
CHBHC uses a group therapy approach to all treatment programs with the main aims including but not limited to exploring underlying issues contributing to emotional discord and to working towards developing strategies to cope with current issues and the future more effectively.
