Colleen holds a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology and a Masters degree in Research Psychology, both of which were obtained cum laude from Potchefstroom University (2004, 2005). She completed an internship at Witrand Psychiatric Hospital and the Institute for Psychotherapy at Potchefstroom University in 2005. Since then Colleen has been employed at Addington Hospital (affiliated to the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal), where from 2009 she headed up the Psychology Unit. In addition to providing psychotherapy and psychometric assessment services to the general public, she also lectured Applied Psychology to medical students at Nelson Mandela Medical School, and trained and supervised clinical psychology interns and trauma counsellors.

Colleen draws eclectically from a range of therapeutic modalities in order to suit the unique needs of each individual. Through psychotherapy, she facilitates skills’ growth and personal awareness in adults, to manage and fulfil challenges more effectively in their work, marriage and family environments. Through play therapy, she facilitates a way for children to express their experiences and feelings through a natural, self-guided, self-healing process.

Colleen also has considerable experience in psychological assessment including neuropsychological, medico-legal, educational and career guidance services to adults, adolescents and children. Colleen believes that through psychological assessment individuals and parents are enabled to make informed decisions in directing future life-choices.
Colleen currently consults from rooms in Table View at the Blaauwberg Intercare and in Claremont at Dr Mark Tunbridge & Associates Registered Psychologists Cape Town.
